When King calls out to the entity, the Collector's silhouette appears on the orb, where he notices King. King backs up only for the Collector to begin panicking and begging him not to leave, knowing he'll wake up soon, but King wakes up anyways. A moon-emblazoned mirror, the key to freeing the Collector from his prison, was kept in the Titan's skull, guarded by a beast named the Stonesleeper.
Visiting the Human Realm

In the present, the Titans are completely extinct with the exception of the young King Clawthorne. At the same time, the only Collector that is around for the events of the series is the young, childlike one that was sealed into the In-Between Realm. This implies that they either moved from the Demon Realm (or at least this specific planet), were imprisoned in an unknown place, or went extinct during the Titan-Collector War, making it a mutual kill for both sides. The Titan Trappers exist to the present day, seeking to find the last Titan left alive to free the Collector from his imprisonment, having mistaken him for the Huntsman. The Collector wears a cloak that has celestial decorations on it; one side black with moons and stars, and the other grey with black suns. As a spirit, it appears as a two-dimensional being with a half-split design; again with one side black with three sun symbols, and the other grey with three crescent moon symbols.
Scheming With Belos
The moment Luz first saw King, she adored his cute appearance and antics, sometimes snuggling and petting King like a cute dog. Because of this, Luz sometimes has trouble taking him seriously, but when they both have to fend for themselves in "The Intruder", she gained a new appreciation for King when he opened up about feeling like a nobody, just like her. Luz is protective of King, being quick to call out Amity for insulting him during the events of "Covention".

In order to get their junior out of their way, they sent him to a primordial world where another god-like race known as the Titan dwelled, so that he could "play". Their sibling found happiness their among the Titans, finding joy in playing with their children, however when the Archivists discovered that the Titans had the ability to cancel out Collector magic, they grew fearful. They were worshipped as the patron god of the Titan Trappers, a warrior clan of witches dedicated to finding the last Titans and killing them. At an unmarked point in time, the Collector relentlessly pursued a fearsome creature named the Owl Beast, and managed to capture it.
The Collector hails from a race of celestial beings which seeks to archive and catalogue all life in the Demon Realm. He was the younger brother of a group known as the Archivists, and his childlike interests stood out from his siblings. One day, the Archivists told him that they will play hide and seek, and that he needs to visit a magical race known as the Titans to see if they will join. The Collector quickly befriended all of them, especially the younger ones, but his fun was interrupted when the Archivists became scared of the Titans' power. They started a war against the Titans and won, with there being only one Titan left, who, mistakenly blamed the Collector and, not wanting him to hurt his still-unborn son, used his powers to seal him away in the In-Between Realm for various millions of years.
As they venture through the forbidden stacks, they hide from Malphas, the master librarian. Luz tells her that on Earth it is another way of saying nerd and promising to show her home to Amity one day. Luz then begs Malphas to give Amity her job back and performs various tasks to make it happen. As grudgby season starts up, Boscha begins to bully Willow and she asks Amity to speak with her. When Boscha dumps trash on Willow, Luz challenges Boscha to a grudgby match, surprising everyone.
Luz didn't see Lilith again until "Agony of a Witch" when she attempts to "borrow" the Healing Hat relic from Emperor Belos' castle, only to be captured by Lilith as part of her plan to draw Eda out of hiding. Lilith seals Luz in a bubble and makes her watch her and Eda fight to wear down Eda's magic. Luz escapes the bubble and tries to stop Eda, so Lilith throws her off the castle bridge, forcing Eda to expend the last of her magic to save her and she transforms into her cursed form. As Lilith orders her taken away, Luz angrily jumps on Lilith, calling her a monster, but is easily overpowered, with Lilith ordering her to go back to her world saying she never belonged in the Demon Realm.

Luz then tells King that the Trappers won't help because he's not actually one of them, but a titan. Later, after escaping, King becomes sad about everything that had just happened. In "Clouds on the Horizon", Eda hands over Luz's palisman to her after finding her on the balcony, and questions her decision to carve the palisman as an egg. Luz explains that she gets to decide her future when she chooses to become a witch, so she wants her palisman to have that option too. Afterwards, her, Eda, and King have one last heartfelt conversation, and hug each other before Eda heads off to the Draining Spell center according to plan.

Nearing Halloween, Luz is in English class, being taught by Mr. Sandoval, who discusses a book with a protagonist whose trials are similar to hers. During the discussion, she uses the protagonist in place of herself when unintentionally letting out her frustrations and says it would be better if "the protagonist" did not exist, much to the confusion of her teacher and classmates. Following class, when she is at her locker, two transfer students come up to her and give her a flyer for the Gravesfield Halloween Festival. That night, having trouble sleeping, she goes to her mother's room and spends the night with her and her palisman, unknowingly waking Amity and dropping the flyer for the Halloween festival. After dinner, she gets band-aids from the bathroom and Hunter comes over to her to thank her for not telling the others what he is.
As the Archive House is about to fall, the Collector rushes over to save it, being hit by Belos' infection. He manages to hold it up as Luz's companions, who fixed themselves, save the puppets. After Belos is defeated, he falls to the ground and the infection clears and the others come over to him. At first, the Collector cowers, but Amity holds out her hand and he tearfully takes it. King is nervous about the idea, pointing out that people might have trouble breathing on the moon.
He's also worshiped by the Titan Trappers, who want to free him by searching for and killing the last Titan. However, while they do end the Draining Spell, they quickly prove themself to be a bigger threat than Belos could ever dream of being, turning the Boiling Isles into their own personal playground. Causing chaos.Playing "games".Annoying and teasing Belos (formerly).Seeking anyone to play with him.Hanging out with King.
Luz finds Gus amusing, mostly because he treats her specially because she is human. Luz is the one who gives Gus his nickname and she is more than happy to teach him about human customs such as the high-five. He doesn't seem to mind the fact that Luz thinks that Willow is more powerful, as he states that he "knows what he's about". In "Something Ventured, Someone Framed", Luz begins to admire Gus' rather advanced illusion magic and compliments him on his abilities. She also shows sympathy towards him when he says he didn't want to feel left out.
Upon a new suggestion, the Collector goes to play with her, Eda, and King, wanting to show them how much fun he can be and blissfully unaware of how dangerous and potentially deadly his games are. He's unable to understand why his new playmates are hurting him when they start to defend themselves from the mortal games. It doesn't take long for the disheartened Collector to open up to Luz as soon as she approaches him, showing his desperation in wanting someone to understand what he’s been through.
